Development programs | 90 minute Interactives | Keynotes | 1:1 coaching

James leads a team of diversely talented thinkers, doers and communicators in business, media, education, the arts and organisational psychology. Together they create fascinating, enjoyable and scientifically rigorous development for people in all sectors.

At all times our goal is to be useful. Useful to our individual clients, to the organisations we serve, and to each other. ‘Strong l Positive l Clear’ is our motto, and it’s also the way I aspire to be experienced, each and every time I interact.

James grew up in Hamilton: the heart of Redgum country in Victoria’s Western District. In this compelling landscape, he learnt the power of perception in creating reality: the strength in deliberate visual, vocal and verbal communication to form and build positive relationships, self-awareness and presence.

Finding potency in communication has been at the core of James’s career. He’s travelled the world working as a prawn fisherman, windsurf instructor, opal miner, actor and jackaroo, became accredited in behavioural analysis and spent several years as a producer, director and presenter for one of Australia’s most prolific independent TV content companies – featuring on Postcards, Coxy’s Big Break, Bread and Talk to the Animals. His talent and adventurous spirit took him to Moscow as a television anchor for international News channel RT (Russia Today).

Since establishing REDgum Communications in 2008, he’s built a formidable reputation working with individuals and teams as disparate as the AIS AFL Academy, Foodbank Victoria and ‘big four’ banks; across 4 continents.

James is a presenter and coach in personal brand, behavioural change, team building and leadership, and is passionate about the values and philosophy of REDgum.

James tailors coaching, workshops, and/or presentations that focus on goal achievement through systematic delivery on personal brand ‘promises’ in professional and personal lives. He’s a proud mental health advocate for SANE Australia.

James has a wide and varied background, giving him the ability to think outside of what would normally be covered in [coaching] sessions. He’s extremely professional but with a friendly/warm style which really assisted in gaining confidence and becoming relaxed very quickly.  I highly recommend him and his company

James identified my room for improvement areas in the first hour we worked together and from there has given me the tools, confidence and self belief to perform in the next phase of my life.
